If you’ve read our home page, you know we’re in this business because owner Dave MacDonald had trouble finding a door specialist or sub-contractor he could rely on for sales, installation and repairs of commercial doors, door hardware and door accessories. Dave embraced that opportunity and set out to become the commercial door specialist of California’s Central Coast. He started learning all he could in 1972 and opened MacDonald Co. in 1989. Since then, people throughout the country have learned they can count on MacDonald Co. for our product knowledge, selection and great prices.

We think we’ve done a great job filling a need for contractors, developers, architects and businesses. Our clients think we’ve done a great job, too. And that, by far, is the most important thing.
